Shaun Roberts is a San Francisco-based documentary photographer & director .
Shaun graduated valedictorian of his class in 2003 and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in New Media from the Academy of Art University.
In 2002, his project “Bay Area Exports” was recognized with the Adobe Design Achievement Award at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
Following that success, Shaun teamed up with the Upper Playground label to direct an ambitious documentary project titled, “The Run Up — An Artist Documentation Series“, featuring a series of 25 vignettes on some of the most prolific
artists and creators of todays urban contemporary art scene. Highlights from the project include interviews with Futura, Swoon, Estevan Oriol, Ryan McGinness & Herbert Baglione.
Currently Shaun is focusing on photojournalism as a contributing photographer for San Francisco Magazine, Juxtapoz Magazine, Babylon Falling and various blogs online. His most recent project “Dear Texas Highways” was screened at the 2009 South by Southwest Film Festival.
